So far, it's been confusing...
Episode 1 Yoshio is narrating and telling that he's decided to end his life in 11 days, on the 11th anniversary of his friend's death. He's standing in line (2nd in line) at a taxi stand when a guy cuts through and shoves the first person in line, a woman, and Yoshio stands up to him. Eventually, the younger bigger guy tells Yoshio to get in the cab. He ends up befriending him. Yoshio tells the guy, Heita, of his plan to kill himself and they continue to talk. Heita offers to give Yoshio a place to live until that day (Yoshio has sold everything he owns including his home) and he accepts. So far up to that point more or less, it's fine... soon though I got the feeling that Heita's meeting of Yoshio wasn't an accident.
There are all these strange things going on. Plus it turns out Yoshio was married to a beautiful girl 11 years prior and the marriage had only lasted 6 months. Yoshio wants to see her one more time beore he dies and he does. With Heita's help, he finds out that his ex-wife, Mizuho, is now the president of a famous fashion line. Mizuho seems a bit shady as well... there's a cloud over her head about the manner in which her current husband died. Her husband was the president of the fashion line before her.
Yoshio has a weird relationship with this girl Shinobu, who it turns out is some kind of celebrity. She's grown tired of people who only want to be friends because they want something from her. She grows fond of Yoshio because he's different. He had met her previously some years prior but Shinobu doesn't remember right away. Later, in episode 4, it dawns on her that she and Yoshio had met before.
For now, even though it's weird, it's keeping me entertained. On my way to watch episode 5 and 6 tonight and hope to have it all one by end of next week.
