Finished: Tsuki no Koibito (Moon Lovers)

Finished Tsuki no Koibito today.  As I watched, I realized the synopsis given by my dramawiki site wasn't very good.  Yes, Hazuki Rensuke (Takuya Kimura) is the President of furniture company, Regolith and he is trying to increase his share of the market but the three women don't all enter his life.  Two of the three are already in his life when the drama begins.

Ninomiya Maemi (Shinohara Ryoko) is Rensuke's college friend and biggest supporter since she's known him from the days when he first thought of naming his future company, Regolith.

Onuki Yozuki (Kitagawa Keito) is the daughter of his competitor, Onuki Shogen, owner of Mastpole.  It was Onuki Shogen who was Rensuke's very first customer when he was selling his handmade furniture at a local flea market.  Seeing his potential, they became friends.  Yozuki was just a little girl when she met Rensuke but she fell in love with him and when the drama opens, they are an item.

Liu Xiu Mei (Lin Chi Ling) is the factory worker in Shanghai that Rensuke discovers when he is opening his first factory there.  Xiu Mei and her best friend Ming have lost their jobs because of Regolith.  When Xiu Mei and Rensuke meet, she has no idea he is the President of Regolith and he doesn't tell her who he is.

There's an actor, Matsuda Shota, that I remember from the Hana Yori Dango series.  Something about him I really don't like.  In this drama, he speaks Chinese.  I'd say he spoke "perfect" Chinese but I wouldn't know perfect from broken from horrible Chinese...:P  But he sounded as good as Xiu Mei when she spoke to Ming.  I wondered if Shota was part Chinese so I looked him up.  Turns out he's the brother of Matsuda Ryuhei, the really hot guy from the movie "Taboo" and the drama "Ashita no Kita Yoshio".  As I looked at Shota more, I saw the resemblance to Ryuhei but dang... Shota is just not good looking and he seems creepy.

This was a great drama and I'm going to have to look for another one with Takuya Kimura in it.  I loved him in the "Hero" series and movie and he was amazing in this one.

I have to put up some screenshots of this drama and the one I watched before it...I've got new episodes of Hotman 2 to watch now...
